DESCRIPTION:Raag-Mala Toronto\, in partnership with the Aga Khan Museum\, is proud to present a sitar recital by Padma Bhushan Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee on Saturday June 24th 2023 7:30pm \nPandit Budhaditya Mukherjee is one the best loved sitarist in India today. He received his training in sitar and surbahar from his illustrious father\, Late Acharya Pandit Bimalendu Mukherjee\, a doyen of the Imdadkhani Gharana. Over an illustrious career\, Pandit ji has received numerous awards\, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi award in 2010 and the Padma Bhushan in 2019. He has performed in many countries around the world\, and was the first musician ever to perform in the House of Commons\, London in June 1990. \nPandit ji will present a program of evening raags and lighter melodies\, with his long-time accompanist Sri Soumen Nandy on Tabla. \nTickets: Balcony $50\, Orchestra $60 (10% Discount for Members)\nTickets include same day Aga Khan Museum admission \nRegular Tickets are SOLD OUT!\nA limited number of STUDENT TICKETS remain!\nLimited Rush tickets will be available at the venue 2 hours before the show \nA limited number of $20 student tickets\, for full time students with valid ID\, are available for purchase directly from Raag-Mala Toronto.
